Short for cannabidiol, CBD is a plant compound found in hemp, although not exclusive to it. In fact, it can actually be found in other plants like broccoli and kale.

Hemp and marijuana both belong to the Cannabis Sativa L. plant species, and while they retain a number of similarities, they have some very key differences. The defining characteristic between hemp and marijuana is the chemical composition contained within each plant. Both species produce CBD, the non-intoxicating cannabis compound. However, THC (tetrahydrocannabinol)—the substance that produces the feeling of a “high”—is produced at very different levels.

By nature, the marijuana plant contains much higher levels of THC (up to 30%) which is where it derives its mind-altering or euphoric properties. The hemp plant, on the other hand, is classified as having less than 0.3% THC—making it an ideal source for extractions for our products. This means you get all the beneficial properties of cannabis without any intoxicating effects. 

All Sagely Naturals products use entirely hemp-derived CBD with all detectable trace amounts of THC removed. So you’re ensured maximum overall wellness, with no intoxicating effects.

Both hemp seed oil and CBD oil come from the same “parent” (the hemp plant). However, while hemp seed oil is nutritionally dense and has its own wonderful purported health benefits, it contains zero CBD. CBD must be derived from the whole mature plant—including its stalks and flowers—in order to reap its benefits. At Sagely Naturals, our hemp CBD extract is sourced by harvesting the whole plant to maintain the intrinsic benefits of the entire plant.

No. CBD is non-intoxicating and will not get you high. CBD works with your body's Endocannabinoid System, which is responsible for regulating many bodily functions, without any psychotropic effects.

The Entourage Effect refers to findings that “whole-plant” (or broad spectrum) Cannabinoid extracts are more effective than isolated Cannabinoid because they are accompanied by other naturally occurring, non-intoxicating constituents in the plant. These may include terpenes, plant waxes, vitamins, minerals, and other phytocannabinoids. All of these elements combined allow for the greatest impact on the body, versus the CBD isolate alone. For this reason, we have chosen to use broad spectrum CBD oil in all our products—for maximum wellness benefits.

No, our products contain no detectable trace amounts of THC per industry testing standards. 

All our CBD is derived from hemp, which legally must contain less than 0.3% THC per industry regulations. We process our hemp plants in state of the art facilities using science-backed techniques to remove the small amounts of THC inherent in the plant. Finally, we quadruple test our final products for quality—and that includes measuring THC levels. As shown in our testing certificates, THC is non-detectable to 25 parts per million (0.0025%).

As with any supplement or new wellness protocol, each person will have an individual and unique experience. As with beginning any new supplement, it’s wise to consult with your doctor first. Our products are not intended for persons that are or may be pregnant or nursing, have a medical condition, are taking any medications, or are under the age of 18.

Yes, CBD is legal according to the 2018 Farm Bill. It is federally legal to grow, sell, and consume hemp-based products (including hemp-based CBD, which we use in all Sagely Naturals products). The same isn’t true for marijuana-derived CBD products, for which legality varies by state.

The simple answer is that every person will require a different amount of CBD depending on how their body metabolizes, absorbs, and responds to the compound. As a general rule of thumb, it’s always a good idea to start small and be mindful of your response before fully incorporating CBD into your routine. Within a couple of weeks, you should find the amount that feels right to provide the benefits and support you are seeking. 

When using Sagely Naturals capsules, we recommend starting with one 10 mg capsule a day. If, after a week or two, you’re not getting the desired support, you can begin taking two capsules at a time. 

Our chemists have formulated our topical products to ensure you receive the optimal amount of CBD (1-2 mg) per application. We suggest you start with one pump per application, adding an additional pump as needed until you achieve the desired effect.

CBD helps to facilitate whole body wellness. This means it will support your body in finding equilibrium and doesn’t require a “more is better” approach. Ideal dosages are different for each person, but overshooting and taking too much CBD can actually reduce its effects. Experiment to find the dosage that feels right to achieve your desired effect and stick to it.

CBD can support you throughout the day, depending on what you’re utilizing it for. Some people feel that CBD helps them unwind and like to use it at the end of the day. Others find it helpful in the morning as they start a busy day. We suggest you experiment to find the time of day that best works for you. 

When developing a CBD routine, we recommend focusing inward, on what you feel comfortable with. Pay attention to when and where you are noticing improvements in your overall health and wellness. CBD is intended to help you feel your best and find balance, which means it should help you do more of what you love.

Co-ingredients are plant-based ingredients that just work better together. For example, our Relief & Recovery CBD Capsules contain organic Turmeric, which, when paired with Black Pepper, its overall absorption levels are boosted.

While there is no standard industry definition of “natural” in personal care products, Sagely Naturals is committed to the highest quality ingredient standards. Sagely Naturals seeks out ingredients that are made from renewable resources found in nature. We thoughtfully formulate our products to avoid toxins, carcinogens, allergens, animal by products, reproductive and endocrine disruptors, and ingredients harmful to the environment. All of our products are free of parabens, synthetic fragrances, artificial colors or dyes, and sulfates. We are also Leaping Bunny certified, vegan, and gluten free.

Our hemp is grown per organic principles using non-GMO strains, and we use only pure essential oils. All our products are quadruple tested to ensure each and every ingredient is free from contaminants (including heavy metals, pesticides and herbicides, and THC).

Yes, all of our CBD products are vegan.

Sagely Naturals’ CBD products do not contain common allergens such as dairy, gluten, nuts, or eggs. Some of our products may contain soy. Our CBD topicals also contain some essential oils which may cause skin irritation. If you have a history of having skin that’s extra-sensitive to other over-the-counter skincare products, we recommend conducting a patch test first. Apply CBD topical product to a small area of skin and wait 24 hours to gauge sensitivity before full application.

No, we never test our products on animals. We are proud to be a cruelty-free brand and the recipient of the Leaping Bunny Certification.

All of our CBD products (CBD Creams, Capsules, Sprays and Oils) are manufactured in the USA, using hemp grown in New England. 

Drug tests may not differentiate between the different types of cannabinoids that are available on the market today and may return a false positive. So while we can’t legally ensure a drug test result will not show a false positive, we can, however, promise that our products will always have non-detectable amounts of THC per industry testing standards.

All orders over $60.00 are eligible for free U.S. ground shipping. 

Since we want to ensure you receive your Sagely Naturals purchase quickly, we typically pack and ship orders within hours of order placement. For this reason, once an order has processed, it cannot be cancelled or changed.

If you are not satisfied with the results of your Sagely Naturals CBD product, we will refund you the total of your order value (less shipping) upon receipt of your purchase(s). We do not offer complimentary return shipping at this time.

Non-expedited shipments are expected to arrive within 3-7 business days from the shipping date. Shipments are fulfilled Monday through Friday during normal business hours (Eastern Time) excluding major holidays. All orders received after 8am EST will be fulfilled and shipped on the following business day.
