There’s no shortage of overnight “miracle” potions and lotions that claim to clear up all your troubles in one fell swoop. After all, it’s not exactly sexy to say “You’ll need to do the work consistently over time to see a difference.” But we’re not about short-term fixes when it comes to your wellness, we’re about providing quality supportive options alongside real-life expectations that work in the long-run.
We’re also committed to full transparency when it comes to CBD—so we wanted to put down on “paper” what you might expect when you begin using our products, or CBD in general (as opposed to what you think might happen based on all those other wild online claims):
CBD is Cumulative
When you’re experiencing occasional, temporary discomfort it’s completely understandable you want instant easing of that discomfort. But unlike over-the-counter options, CBD has a cumulative effect in the body. What this means is that if your existing levels of CBD are low (just like calcium can get low as you age) then you need to allow your body time to build back up the CBD levels in your system by taking CBD daily. By building up your "stores" of CBD, your body can then be brought back to balance and from there experience the intended outcome you're after.
Allow 30 Days
CBD’s cumulative effect is also why we recommend taking our capsules daily for at least 7-10 days to see (and ideally 30 days!) a difference. And if you’ve been dealing with a particular issue for what feels like a lifetime, we think 7-10 days in the scheme of things is a relatively short amount of time to feel better. If your CBD stores are depleted, you need to give them an opportunity to get back into balance.
Dosage? It Depends...
Slowly finding your ideal dosage is key, as is the consistency of use, which is why we recommend you use our products like you would take a vitamin. Listen to your body for which dosage amount works, and if there’s an ideal time of day that works best for what you’re dealing with. And although CBD is cumulative, that’s doesn’t necessarily mean more is better, in fact sometimes taking too much CBD can actually reduce its efficacy.
For Instant Cooling...
Our cream, spray, and roll-on are formulated with essential oils including peppermint as well as cooling menthol. You will get the best results by incorporating these products into your daily routine for at least a week. Don't just use them, for example, when your hip starts to flare up—instead, create the habit of using them every day like when you get out of the shower or before you go to bed.
